Orange Corners Research Conference 2026: Data-Drive Insights for Entrepreneurship Support in LMICs

Yesterday’s Orange Corners Research Conference in 12 pictures 📸

Our goal was simple, yet ambitious: to take a step toward bridging the gap between practice, theory and policy in entrepreneurship support across low- and middle-income countries. Together, we explored nine ongoing research projects with Dutch and African researchers, practitioners and entrepreneurs. While we know there could be 900 more, every step counts.

We hope everyone who joined – both in person and online – left with at least one new idea, one new connection or one small action to take forward. Because small steps, taken by many, truly add up.

To all the researchers who joined us on this journey: we truly value your willingness to go beyond academia and actively connect theory with practice. Your energy and commitment showed. A special thank you to our co-hosts Utrecht University.

To all ESOs and entrepreneurs: you are not subjects of research, but our partners in it. You are co-designers, co-researchers and co-implementers of knowledge meant to serve you. Thank you for your time and openness.

We hope this is just the beginning. Let’s stay connected, keep the conversation going, and let’s continue building the evidence base together, one project, one collaboration, one honest question at a time.
