As Orange Corners Jordan is well underway, an official opening ceremony was long overdue. So last month Jordan’s entrepreneurial community gathered to celebrate the kick-off of the latest addition to the extended Orange Corners family. In the presence of the Netherlands Ambassador to Jordan H.E. Harry Verweij and our very own Ramiro Gomes Monteiro (Programme Advisor Jordan), our new implementing partners Queen Rania Center for Entrepreneurship and iPark Jordan declared to be open for business officially.
Annually, Orange Corners Jordan aims to support 40 young Jordanian entrepreneurs who have gone beyond the idea stage, built a minimum viable product and have been in business for at least one year. The incubation programme offers capacity building, business development support, networking opportunities, training and mentoring sessions for Jordan’s most ambitious entrepreneurs.
Ambassador Verweij: “Contributing to the prosperity of the private sector is a major goal of the Dutch Development Cooperation Programme in Jordan. This initiative provides young Jordanian entrepreneurs with a platform of support and role models, in addition to access to financial support and global contacts. We look forward to seeing entrepreneurs expand and grow their startups with the support of Orange Corners.”
After a very successfull bootcamp, the first Orange Corners Jordan cohort kicked off earlier this summer.
