After a buzzing opening and the first-ever Orange Corners Bangladesh hackathon, it’s time to get down to our premier business in Bangladesh as well: training young, ambitious entrepreneurs with innovative ideas to change the world.
In May 2023, we kicked off the search for budding entrepreneurs to enroll in the inaugural Orange Corners Bangladesh cohort. When the application window closed on June 10, 2023, we were thrilled to have received a whopping 229 submissions from businesses spanning the length and breadth of Bangladesh. Following two rounds of meticulous reviews, we identified the cream of the crop – 33 teams bursting with innovative ideas for sustainable businesses.
The selected teams were then immersed in a two-day selection bootcamp on June 25 and 26, 2023. Here, they delved into capacity-building workshops, explored funding avenues, and pitched their business visions to a panel of judges comprising representatives from our investor community, seasoned entrepreneurs and ecosystem developers. After a rigorous vetting process, we handpicked the top 14 enterprises demonstrating the highest potential for creating impact. These chosen ventures are now set to embark on their incubation journey commencing this July.
