Orange Corners Bangladesh kicks off with 3-day hackathon

Throwback to Orange Corners Bangladesh’s first big event! Spanning three days, the Hackathon 1.0 was held in the Orange Corners hub in Mohakhali, Dhaka. 27 teams of young entrepreneurs came together to develop solutions tackling climate change, such as renewable energy, food and agriculture, waste management, housing solutions and plastic management.

During the first two days, the entrepreneurs took part in capacity-building sessions on design solutions, market research, customer profiling, financial data analysis and the art of pitching, conducted by renowned speakers from the ecosystem. Seven teams made it to the grand finale, where representatives from the Orange Corners Bangladesh partners picked the three winners: Ecolery, Trash Titans and Dragonfury. With their sustainable waste management solutions, each of the winners aimed to reduce the use of harmful materials.

Congratulations to all winners and participants. And hopefully we’ll see many of you return for the first Orange Corners incubation programme in Bangladesh!
