#CoCreateMyCity (CCMC)

In order to create more awareness for entrepreneurship among young people we implement the #CoCreateMyCity (CCMC) concept. CCMC is a student competition where Dutch and local students co-create entrepreneurial solutions to local challenges. These challenges are identified by the local government, in cooperation with the Dutch embassy or consulate. The students are supported by a selected group of experts and mentors, and during a final pitch competition they present their solutions in front of an expert jury.

The Orange Corners team uses the CCMC approach as an add-on to the Orange Corners programme. It fosters an exchange of knowledge between local and Dutch students and results in cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset among students, creating more awareness towards the challenges of their city. It contributes to active citizenship and youth participation. It strengthens the collaboration between government, educational institutes and the private sector, and helps to build the Orange Corners network. And lastly, it fosters exchanges and an academic relationship between local and Dutch universities in order to inspire and create awareness around entrepreneurship education.
