A delegation from the NL Embassy in Sudan recently visited Kassala for a reflective and inspiring session with young Orange Corners Sudan entrepreneurs. The delegation included Wiesje Elfferich, Deputy Head of Mission and Head of Development Cooperation, Marie Smit, Second Secretary and Humanitarian Focal Point, and Hala Hamedalla, Policy Officer on Migration and Women.
During the visit, the diplomats engaged in meaningful discussions with both current participants and alumni from previous Orange Corners Sudan cohorts. Entrepreneurs shared compelling stories of perseverance, highlighting the challenges they face amidst Sudan’s complex landscape, as well as the innovative ways they are navigating these obstacles. The delegation commended their resilience and reaffirmed the importance of continued support for youth-led initiatives.
The visit underscored the vital role of entrepreneurship in Sudan’s development, and the inspiring spirit of these young innovators left a lasting impression on all involved.
