Tibu Africa and Bidaya Incubator have launched the 4th cohort of the Sports Orange Corners programme, in cooperation with the Netherlands Embassy in Morocco.
Sports Orange Corners is the first incubation and acceleration programme for young sports entrepreneurs in Africa, initiated in Morocco in 2021 by the Embassy of the Netherlands and Tibu Africa, with the support of the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The programme focuses on training and supporting young entrepreneurs eager to launch innovative, inclusive, revenue-generating and job-creating sports startups in five major areas: sports and education, sports and health, sports and tourism, sports and environment, and sports & new technologies & Big Data.
The launch took place in Cacablance on 28 May and was attended by Orange Corners programme manager Lennart Kamphuis and Orange Corners programme advisor Ward Karsemeijer.
Lennart: “I’m very happy and grateful that with the Orange Corners Sports Programme we can support young people to start and grow their business, and that’s not easy. You need to be brave and have courage to start a business. And therefore you (entrepreneurs) deserve the right support, from your government, from Tibu and from us (Orange Corners). For all those entrepreneurs that will participate in the programme, I wish you the best of luck..”
